IRGC Spokesperson: What is the reason for the existence of 800 U.S. military bases in different countries around the world? What justification is there for [such an enormous] U.S. military budget? Is it anything other than keeping the major arms factories and companies prosperous? Is it anything other than producing weapons, creating consumption for them and filling the pockets of the wealthy in America? If America needs to defend itself where it lives, its defensive position is naturally secure. It does not need 800 military bases around the world.
