A maritime data company reported on Friday that only 77 ships have passed through the Strait of Hormuz since the beginning of March, marking the second day of the Iran-U.S. and Israel war, compared to 1,229 ships passing through during the same period in 2025. According to the report, ships associated with Iran account for 26 percent of the recent passages, with most belonging to the "shadow fleet" typically used to circumvent sanctions.
