This video from March 2026 shows an Israeli Air and Space Force Hermes 900 armed drone using Mikholit bombs to attack members of the IRGC Ground Forces’ 3rd Hamzeh Infantry Division in Orumiyeh, northwestern Iran. They were trying to shoot down the drone with a ZU-23 anti-aircraft cannon. However, as the footage shows, they had all gathered beside the cannon without considering how easily the drone could target them. They were subsequently killed by two Mikholit bombs.

Heavy Saudi campaigns against Houthi positions in Sanaa Saudi Arabian fighter jets carried out heavy attacks against the military headquarters of the Iranian Islamic Republic's Houthi terrorist group in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen. CENTCOM: Strait of Hormuz Open, IRGC No Longer Controls This Waterway The U.S. Central Command announced that the Strait of Hormuz is open for commercial shipping passage and rejected the claims of the terrorist group IRGC about controlling and closing this waterway. CENTCOM states that U.S. forces have cleared naval mines laid by the terrorist regime of the Islamic Republic, escorted thousands of commercial vessels, and to date, more than 1.1 billion barrels of oil have passed through the strait. According to CENTCOM, oil transit flow has nearly returned to pre-war levels.

Commercial traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is rising, CENTCOM told international shipping partners in a virtual briefing. Adm. Brad Cooper credited industry and U.S. agencies for their support and acknowledged what civilian crews have endured under Iranian attacks.

A crude oil tanker was hit by an unknown projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz on October 6, UKMTO said in an advisory citing a verified source. No casualties were reported. Damage and environmental impact remain unassessed, and vessels have been advised to transit with caution.

Morteza Kazemian, a member of the editorial board of Iran International, referring to Masoud Pezeshkian's remarks about turning every home into a "security watchdog" and every mosque into a "local government," said that this approach represents a return to the security model of the 1980s and the expansion of citizens' surveillance of one another within structures controlled by the Basij and the IRGC.

Kepler's Report on the Possibility of Paying "Oil Tolls" for Safe Passage Through the Strait of Hormuz Kepler has reported that some oil producers in the Persian Gulf region may be quietly paying the equivalent of 10 to 20 percent of their oil cargoes to the terrorist regime of the Islamic Republic in exchange for safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz. This claim has not yet been confirmed, but Kepler believes such arrangements could be one of the reasons why Brent crude oil prices have remained in the range close to $100 per barrel.

Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic government, said before his trip to Turkmenistan: "They created a problem for us in the form of a maritime blockade, but they cannot impose a blockade on us so easily. We share borders with 15 neighboring countries in the region, and we can conduct our exchanges through any of these routes, and these opportunities can also influence the nature of our interactions." Pezeshkian continued: "During this trip, we will hold negotiations about the dangers threatening the Caspian Sea."
