Alireza Zakani, the mayor of Tehran, announced that a "farewell ceremony" for Ali Khamenei and a funeral procession for him and other family members killed alongside him will begin on July 4, with his burial scheduled for July 9 in Mashhad. Zakani predicts at least 15 to 20 million people will participate in the ceremony in Tehran.
