Israel conducted an attack in Hamadan on the eighth day of the 40-day war, targeting a senior cyber operative of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) who was involved in hacking and cyber infiltration activities. The initial reports by the Basij and IRGC had described the targeted house as belonging to ordinary civilians.
