On Tuesday, May 5, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that the U.S. military is fully prepared to support "Operation Liberty" in the Strait of Hormuz, releasing images of American warships and aircraft deployed in the region. The images show U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jets taking off from the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, which is enforcing a naval blockade against Iran along with another aircraft carrier.
