On April 4, images circulating on social media showed Revolutionary Guards police officers using light weapons to target two American helicopters, which were part of a rescue mission for a U.S. pilot after an F-15E fighter jet was shot down over Iran. Iranian authorities had previously offered rewards for capturing the crew of the downed aircraft.
