Since the announcement of Mojtaba Khamenei as the leader of the Islamic Republic, Iranian media have published "pledge of allegiance" messages from President Masoud Pezeshkian, Ali Larijani, Sadegh Larijani, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje'i, among others. Vladimir Putin, president of Russia, also congratulated Mojtaba Khamenei and expressed Russia's continued support for Tehran.
