The United Nations Shipping Agency announced on Tuesday that an agreement between Iran and the United States has led to a plan for evacuating hundreds of ships with 11,000 seafarers stranded in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz. The spokesperson for the United Nations International Maritime Organization stated that contact with the ships is beginning to initiate the evacuation operations.
