On the morning of Tuesday, April 7, 2026, the Rofieh-Nia Jewish Synagogue in Tehran was completely destroyed by a missile strike during a series of airstrikes. Homaioon Sameyh Najafabadi, the Jewish representative in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, announced the destruction of the historic synagogue, which was one of the most important religious centers for Jews in the capital.
