Arrests

Azerbaijan's State Security Service thwarted a plan by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to conduct espionage and explosions, targeting the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan pipeline and the Israeli embassy, among other sites. Three explosive packages were discovered and neutralized, and several individuals, including Iranian and Azerbaijani citizens, were arrested; some received prison sentences of up to six years and six months.
