On March 29, images published by the Vahid Online account showed people in Iran celebrating what was reported to be the killing of Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while not confirming the reports, suggested there are indications that Khamenei is no longer alive, referring to an Israeli strike on Khamenei's location. Iran's state media have denied these reports.
