Dan Keen, Chief of Staff of the US Army, stated that the U.S. military is prepared to resume war against the Islamic Republic of Iran if necessary, and announced a naval blockade that includes Iranian waters, subjecting ships entering or leaving Iranian ports to inspection. The U.S. forces have not yet seized any ships.
