On January 9, 2025, during protests in Isfahan, the Islamic Republic regime shot and killed 25-year-old Meysam Nouri near the Sheikh Toosi Basij base. His body was later returned under pressure from his family, but his burial was banned in Isfahan and forced to be conducted secretly in a small village under heavy security.
