Azim Esmaili Khosrowabadi, deputy of the Basij organization, and Gholamreza Soleimani, head of the Basij organization, were killed in an attack in Tehran on March 16. Khosrowabadi was previously responsible for the deputy of human resources and inspection of the Khuzestan IRGC.
