Iran has implemented a permit system for vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, requiring ships to receive an email with transit regulations from an Iranian government address and obtain a permit prior to passage.
State media reported that the Islamic Republic has established the "Strait of the Persian Gulf Authority" to manage ship passage through the Strait of Hormuz, requiring all vessels to receive and comply with guidelines via email to obtain a passage permit.
Masoud Pezeshkian, a senior Iranian official, told the Iraqi Prime Minister that the Islamic Republic is prepared for dialogue based on international laws but will not yield to coercion, and requested Iraq to advise U.S. officials to eliminate military threats in the region.
