The UAE is covertly transporting crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz, despite Iran's threats to close the strategic waterway, with at least four ADNOC tankers shipping 6 million barrels of Upper Zakum and Das crude in April while their tracking systems were disabled. The cargoes were either transferred offshore, stored in Oman, or rerouted to South Korea and Malaysia.
