The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reports striking Basij forces at more than 10 checkpoints and positions across Tehran. One target was an "emergency position" previously a football club, used by the Basij and IRGC. The strikes follow an overnight operation that killed Basij commander Gholamreza Soleimani, his deputy, and several senior officers.
