U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has released video showing a U.S. Navy F/A-18E Super Hornet assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 83, along with additional Super Hornets from other squadrons assigned to Carrier Air Wing 7, launching from the deck of the USS George Washington (CVN-73) in support of the U.S. naval blockade of Iran. According to today's CENTCOM update, U.S. forces have now redirected 71 commercial vessels, boarded two to verify compliance, and disabled three vessels that failed to comply with blockade directives.
