NATO's Rutte: Why are the Americans doing it, taking out Iranian nuclear capability? Because we can’t. But in the future, we have to make sure that, as Europeans, we can do this ourselves. It is a bit strange that, to protect ourselves here in Europe from 140 million Russians, 600 million people living in NATO territory in Europe need a country six to eight hours’ flight from here, with 340 million people, to defend us against the Russians. We should be able to do that ourselves. That’s exactly what we are working on.
