French Foreign Minister announced the launch of an international mission involving more than 50 countries to rapidly resume maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. Central Command has requested the deployment of the Army’s Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW), known as Dark Eagle, to the Middle East for potential use against Iran, aiming to counter Iran’s extended ballistic missile capabilities. Dark Eagle, capable of traveling up to 3,500 km at speeds exceeding Mach 5, would provide rapid strikes on high-value targets such as command nodes and missile launchers.
Reuters reported on May 1 that the U.S. Navy has awarded a $100 million contract to Domino Data Lab to develop artificial intelligence software for detecting Iranian mines in the Strait of Hormuz. The technology aims to enable unmanned underwater drones to identify new types of mines within days, significantly reducing the previous six-month update period.
Mohammad Javad Haj Ali Akbari, the temporary Friday prayer leader of Tehran, praised the Islamic Republic's armed forces and the Aerospace Force of the IRGC, stating that "missile diplomacy" has conveyed the Islamic Republic's message to its adversaries.
