On April 24, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas stated that negotiations with Iran must include nuclear experts and address regional issues, warning that failing to do so would result in a "more dangerous Iran." Kallas made these remarks ahead of an informal summit of EU leaders in Cyprus, following inconclusive Iran-U.S. talks in Islamabad on April 11-12.
