Acclaimed director Asghar Farhadi, at a press conference for his new film at the Cannes Film Festival, commented on the killings of civilians during the recent war and the killings of protesters in December, stating both are painful and will not be forgotten. According to HRANA, during the December protests, thousands of protesters were killed, with estimates ranging from 3,000 by the government to 7,000 by HRANA, and during the war, approximately 3,600 people were killed, including at least 1,700 civilians, of whom at least 254 were children.
