Yousef Ansari, a writer and member of the Iranian Writers' Association, was sentenced by Branch 21 of the Tehran Islamic Revolutionary Court to one year in prison (4 months of punitive imprisonment and 8 months of suspended imprisonment) on Khordad 12 for the charge of "propaganda against the regime." Ansari was arrested on Dey 18 of the previous year during a ceremony for poet Baktash Abtin and was released on bail of 700 million tomans after two months.
