Jabbar Mustafa, a political prisoner born in Iraq, died on June 22, 2025, in Evin Prison in Tehran after experiencing a heart attack and being denied timely medical intervention. Mustafa had been sentenced to one and a half years for "propaganda against the Islamic Republic system" and had served about five months of his sentence in Hall 2, Ward 7 of Evin Prison.
