RIA Novosti, citing Iranian Ambassador Kazem Jalali in Moscow, reported that the Iranian government has not canceled the Caspian Summit, which could feature a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian had announced the summit, scheduled for August 21, would be held in Tehran with the participation of leaders from Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan.
