The Minister of Economy in Masoud Pezeshkian's government announced on Saturday the temporary closure of the Tehran Stock Exchange, effective immediately and until further notice, citing the need to safeguard assets. Additionally, the Tehran Governor declared on Friday that all ministries, organizations, and executive bodies in Tehran Province would operate with only 20% of staff present in person, and all female employees would work remotely, starting from Sunday, March 17, until further notice.
