The Khātam al-Anbiyā Central Headquarters announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, effective immediately, citing "insecurity in the region" following attacks by the U.S. army in southern Hormozgan Province. The headquarters stated that any vessel attempting passage through the strait would be targeted.
