The UK Ministry of Defence is deploying the destroyer HMS Dragon from the eastern Mediterranean to the Middle East to potentially join a multinational mission to protect shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The ship was previously deployed in March to safeguard British air bases in Cyprus but recently docked for repairs.
