Data from the International Maritime Organization showed that approximately 57 ships carrying around 1,100 seafarers passed through the Strait of Hormuz from June 23 to June 25 under a United Nations evacuation plan. The plan aims to facilitate the passage of hundreds of ships and approximately 11,000 seafarers that had been stranded due to conflicts in the Strait of Hormuz since the start of the US and Israeli war against Iran in March.
