The President of the Iran Importers Association of Pesticides and Fertilizers stated that the market is facing a shortage and a 200 percent increase in fertilizer prices due to the war, closure of the Strait of Hormuz, difficulties in importing from China and India, and currency allocation and import licensing issues. He also noted that fertilizer imports have halted over the past three months, with importers unable to bring in previously purchased shipments or register new imports.
