Mehdi Farid, a former employee of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, was executed by the Islamic Republic's judiciary on charges of spying for Israel, according to Mizan News Agency. Farid was initially sentenced to 10 years in prison but was later given the death penalty by Branch 23 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, a ruling confirmed by the Supreme Court.
