On the order of U.S. President Trump, the U.S. Navy, using two Arleigh Burke-class destroyers—USS Michael Murphy (DDG-112) and USS Frank E. Petersen Jr. (DDG-121)—is tasked with sinking any commercial vessel that has paid tolls to or been permitted by the Islamic regime of Iran to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian Navy has already warned the U.S. ships when they attempted to pass through the Hormuz Strait.
