Brig. Gen. Ebrahim Mortazavinasab, commander of the Basij resistance unit Sarollah in Shiraz, was killed in a strike earlier today. Mortazavinasab had overseen the crackdown that resulted in thousands of protesters being killed in Shiraz during the January unrest.
