CENTCOM reported that an Iranian-flagged cargo ship departed from Bandar Abbas and attempted to evade the U.S. blockade by transiting the Strait of Hormuz along Iran’s coastline, but was intercepted by the USS Spruance and forced to return to Iran. This brings the total number of ships sent back to 10 since the blockade began on Monday, with no successful breaches.

The Iranian Human Rights Organization reported the widespread arrest of at least 3,646 Iranians since the beginning of recent conflicts, starting from late February of the previous year following widespread protests.
