A U.S. official told Saudi Al-Hadath that U.S. forces near Iran will maintain current levels until negotiations progress, with a full withdrawal contingent on a final agreement. The official also stated that Iran must demonstrate it has ceased funding proxies and is prepared to behave as a conventional nation.
The Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, reported that on the final day of talks with the United States, the Islamic Republic declared that any military operations or assassinations in Iran or the "resistance front" including Lebanon would halt negotiations for a final agreement and the implementation of the memorandum of understanding, including the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. This condition was added to Clause 13 of the memorandum.
Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett called for a return to swift and decisive war strategies, the revival of the National Information Directorate, and compulsory military service for all Israeli citizens.
