Reuters reported on May 1 that the U.S. Navy has awarded a $100 million contract to Domino Data Lab to develop artificial intelligence software for detecting Iranian mines in the Strait of Hormuz. The technology aims to enable unmanned underwater drones to identify new types of mines within days, significantly reducing the previous six-month update period.
Mohammad Javad Haj Ali Akbari, the temporary Friday prayer leader of Tehran, praised the Islamic Republic's armed forces and the Aerospace Force of the IRGC, stating that "missile diplomacy" has conveyed the Islamic Republic's message to its adversaries. He also indicated that negotiations regarding the nuclear dossier and the Strait of Hormuz have concluded, suggesting readiness for further action if necessary.
