Pakistan's Prime Minister Sharif conveyed perspectives from recent discussions with leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Türkiye to his Iranian counterpart Pezeshkian.

Mojtaba Khamenei, in response to an agreement with the United States, stated he had a different opinion but agreed to sign it due to a commitment from Masoud Pezeshkian, the head of the government and Supreme National Security Council. Kamyar Bahramg, an editorial board member of Iran International, noted that Mojtaba Khamenei used ambiguous language to avoid taking responsibility and to maintain internal divisions within the regime.
Several hardline figures and members of Iran's parliament criticized those involved in negotiations with the United States for disregarding the Islamic Republic leader's viewpoint, demanding accountability from supporters of the negotiation process. Mohammadmanan Raisi and Mohsen Moqaddasi, among others, emphasized the need for those who ignored the leader's views to face consequences.
