According to a release from U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), at the direction of SOUTHCOM Commander General Francis L. Donovan, Joint Task Southern Spear conducted a strike on a vessel operated by a designated terrorist organization operating in known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. Per the release, 1 male narco-terrorist was killed in the strike and 2 survived. Following the strike, SOUTHCOM coordinated with the U.S. Coast Guard to begin search and rescue operations for the surviving narco-terrorists.
