WATCH: Ukraine shot down a rare Russian Forpost-R heavy strike-recon drone over Kursk region, using a domestically built Chaklun-KM interceptor at 4,300 m. The Forpost-R is Russia's domesticized version of the Israeli IAI Searcher Mk II, a MALE-class ISR/strike platform capable of carrying laser-guided KAB-20 bombs. Ukrainian interceptors are now contesting the medium-altitude layer that Russian MALE drones previously used with relative impunity.
