The Houthis have announced strikes against concentrations of Saudi forces in Al-Rawik, Al-Abr, Al-Thaniah, and other positions associated with the Saudi-backed 1st and 3rd Emergency Brigades using ballistic missiles and drones. This marks another step in the recent escalation between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia. Until recently, much of the group's pressure campaign had centered on its self-declared maritime blockade—forcing commercial vessels to reroute or turn back and carrying out attacks on shipping transiting the Red Sea.
